About Jessica
Jessica, (LCAT, RDT) has worked in a variety of settings with many different populations that include veterans struggling with complex PTSD, adolescents in the juvenile justice system, adults struggling with substance abuse, Holocaust survivors, individuals living with chronic mental illness, and survivors of school mass shootings. In addition to private practice, Jessica directs therapeutic theatre where she guides individuals and groups through a creative, and embodied storytelling experience, that allows people to gain mastery over their story and to be witnessed in a final performance. In 2018 Jessica was hired to develop and implement a creative arts therapy program for the community and survivors of Parkland Florida who experienced mass school shooting.
She is a member of the North American Drama Therapy Association and has presented her work multiple times at the NADTA conferences. ( Learning Differences at the 2015 NADTA conference, Holocaust Survivors and adolescents at the 2017 NADTA conference & working with survivors of a mass shooting in 2019) Jessica is also an advisory board member for the none for profit Thread.
She holds a BFA in Acting and an MA in Drama Therapy from New York University. Her work has been nationally recognized by NPR and The New York Times, as well as studied by the University of Miami.
