Guest Director

Jessica was a guest director at NYU’s drama therapy graduate program for their Theatre & Health Lab series. This series helps graduate students explore how drama therapy can facilitate psychological, physical, and social wellbeing. Jessica was the drama therapist and director of, “This is not an invitation”, exploring the oppressive and courageous feelings of living with trauma. The show explores how the embodiment of trauma is performed in daily life, often preventing movement forward. The show wrestles with finding acceptance in the broken, wounded, and imperfect parts of one’s self.
